St. Charles Has a Great Run

Michael Calafiore in 8th grade comes back from a second place run last week with a first place finish. His time was 9:14.4 for 1.5 mile. He battled Fernando Diaz, not from St.Charles,during the whole race and he finished right behind Michael by 9 seconds. Let’s hope he can bring another victory this coming Saturday.

In other news, Adam Vitale finished in 2nd place in boys 3th and 4th grade. He is one of the top racers in St.Charles. Third grader Joseph Calabrese came in 3rd with a time of 2:45.5 , and  2nd grader Charles Costanzo came in 4th with a time of 2:51.2.  Costanzo is not in the correct age group but is allowed to race one grade up and is doing well where he has been placed.

On a last note, 5th grader Sahar Vitale set a new record in the 1 mile race. She broke her previous time of 6min with a  time of 5:44.7. Congratulations to her.   Let’s go Sahar!
