Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

On November 25, 2017 at St.Charles, the 6th grade girls won a blowout game of 28-12 against St Teresa. It was clear that St. Charles was the team to beat when they headed into halftime leading 17-5. This win will leave St.Charles tied for first with a undefeated season.

The pivotal player for this team had to be number 23, Ryan Ford. This player had an unusual 19 points, scoring over half of her team’s points. Backing her up was Caitlin Sweeney with 4 points, and both Gianna Carrubba and Faye Vidal with 2 points each. This team worked hard passing this ball, passing until they had the clear open shot. They also worked hard on defense, communicating and showing proper defense. The main leaders of defense had to be the mentioned Sweeney and Vidal, plus Amanda Cerrotta. These three girls trapped hard, with Sweeney swatting the ball for a fast break many times.
